Victorian Kris Mueck has won the Stuart Appleby Pro-Am at Cohuna Golf Club.

Posting a course record, Mueck fired an 8- under 64 to win by one shot over fellow Victorian Matthew Buff.

Buff fired a bogey free round of 7-under 65 putting him four shots clear of last year’s winner Euan Walters following the morning round.

A run of seven straight birdies, eight on the front nine, saw Mueck post a course record by one shot.

Buff finished in second place while Richie Caracella ended his campaign a further two shots back on 67.

It was an impressive win for Mueck after he and travelling partner Andrew Kelly got lost en route and only just made their tee time by minutes.

Perfect weather conditions greeted a field that included Jarrod Lyle, Ashley Hall and David Bransdon.

PGA TOUR Professional Stuart Appleby is the major sponsor of the Cohuna Pro-Am, his home club as a junior.
