Matthew Millar has continued his good run of form in 2015 claiming a wire-to-wire victory at the Qantas Fiji Teams Challenge.

"MatthewMillar
finished 1-under the card after the 54 hole tournament, one shot ahead of the
fast finishing Pieter Zwart, who’s bogey free final round of five-under 67 was
the lowest round of the tournament played at Natadola Bay Championship Golf
Course.

Starting the
final day one shot ahead of Tim Hart, Millar was never really troubled until
late in the round.

Pieter Zwart
was staking a late charge for the title and was 5-under for his round with one
hole to play.

Playing their
respective last holes, Millar could only manage a bogey five, opening the door
for Zwart to force a playoff. Unfortunately Zwart’s putt would slide past the
hole, handing Millar the win.

Millar, the
current New Zealand PGA Champion was happy with the victory which is the
perfect preparation for the Thailand Open next week.

"The week
here at Natadola Bay has been great, and I really couldn’t have picked a better
tournament to play ahead of the OneAsia event in Thailand next week," said
Millar.

"The Natadola
Bay course is just so unforgiving, penalising any kind of error you make
whether it be with the long or short game."

"The course
gives you a test in all facets of your game and it’s nice to have won the
Qantas Fiji Teams Challenge around such a tough layout."

In the teams
competition, Blair Riordan’s team of Petah Oberman, John Cox and Penny McGovern
came from six shots behind in the final round to pip Adam Stephens and his team
on a countback to become the team champions.

Riordan’s team
shot an amazing 259 points for the 54 holes, including a 93 point effort in the
final round.
