Grant Kenny has won the One Agency Noosa Legends Pro-Am with a round of 6-under 65 at Noosa Golf Course.
Entering the clubhouse with the best card of the afternoon, Kenny’s bogey-free round was enough to top a charging Matthew King who claimed outright second place at 5-under the card.
“The course was the best I have ever seen it,” Kenny said.
“If you hit the putts on-line you knew they wouldn’t deviate. All in all it was a great day.”
A beautiful but hot Queensland day greeted 74 professionals at the Ladbrokes Legends Tour event in which Ian Baker-Finch and Peter Senior headlined the field.
The two stars of Australian golf were unable to better the efforts of David Diaz, Bruce McLean and John Wade, however, who each posted rounds of 3-under 68 to tie for third place.
McLean’s card included five birdies and an eagle but two bogies and a double on the long par-4 15th reduced what could have been a spectacular score.
The Ladbrokes Legends Tour now moves to Twin Waters and Pelican Waters for the Sunshine Coast Masters.
