Rounds of 68-70-69-68 saw the Queenslander finish 5-under for the week and five behind winner YutaIkeda.
World Number 2 Adam Scott was one of the major draw cards for the tournament but struggled in the middle two rounds to finish a disappointing 4-over for the week and T38.
Scott looked to be in contention after an opening 68 had him inside the top 10 but fell well off the pace with 72-75 on Friday and Saturday.
While a final round 69 was pleasing the 2013 Masters champion won lt be pleased with his effort.
Stephen Leaney (T25), Adam Bland (T42)and Michael Hendry (T52) were the only other Australasians to makethe cut with Scott Strange, Matthew Guyatt and Paul Sheehan missingthe weekend.
