Glenn Joyner posted the best finish of his Euroepan Senior Tour career with a top 15 result at the French Riviera Masters this week.
With the tournament affected by bad weather
and reduced to 36 holes, Joyner’s 2-under-par total was enough to earn a T13
finish, best of the Australians in the field.
Peter Fowler, already with two wins this
season and an impeccable record at this event with a win and two top fve five
finishes in three starts, was next best at 1-under and T20.
Terry Price was the only other Australian
in the field and finished T46.
The first round of the tournament was
abandoned after heavy overnight rains flooded the course and standing water
left most fairways unplayable.
England’s Simon Brown won the tournament at
10-under-par, two shots better than countryman Barry Lane and Paraguay’s Angel
Franco.
