After a solid performance on the European Tour last week Nathan Holman is back in Asia this week for the Yeangder TPC event in Chinese Taipei.
Holman, who played last week’s Alfred Dunhill
Links event in Scotland on an invite and finished top Australian, is currently
15th on the Asian Tour Order of Merit and looking to climb further
with some of the biggest purses on offer in the next two months.
The Victorian is thought by many to be one
of Australia’s brightest prospects and has lived up to that billing this year
making six cuts in nine starts on the European Tour and amassing €44,875 in the
process.
The Asian Tour starts a run of its richest
events from next week with seven of the eight purses on offer exceeding US$1
million and Holman is one of several Australians hoping to share in the riches.
There will be 15 Australians in this week’s
field including Jake Higginbottom, Scott Barr, Adam Groom, Marcus Both, Paul
Spargo and Matthew Giles.
Higginbottom shared top Australian honours
at this event last year, he and Kieran Pratt both finishing T17.
