With the 36 hole cut falling at an astonishing 6-under-par, only Mark Hensby and Peter Lonard played all four days at the Web.com Tour’s Utah Championship.
The Oakridge Country Club was a haven of low scores with 77 players making the cut at 136 or better on the par 71 layout.
Hensby fired rounds of 67-68 while Lonard made up for a pedestrian 70 in the opening round with a Friday 65 to make the weekend, both players having one shot to spare when the cut came.
67 players went on to finish at 10-under the card or better for the four days, the Australians among that number at 13 and 14-under respectively.
However, with the hot scoring continuing all week that was good enough only for T42 And T51 respectively.
Hensby’s final round 70 saw him drop 26 places on the leaderboard while Lonard’s even par Sunday shunted him 35 places down the standings.
Jamie Arnold, who has played consistently good golf in recent weeks, missed the weekend by a single stroke at 5-under, three bogeys and a double in the opening two rounds proving too much of a hurdle to overcome.
Veterans Steve Allan and Robert Allenby were well out of the mix while Rhein Gibson withdrew midway through the second round for unknown reasons.
