Ashley Hall had an emotional
victory today claiming his first win in six years.

"AshWinning his third tournament in his home state of
Victoria, Hall walked through the clubhouse doors of Huntingdale with his small
daughter in his arms, wife Tara and young son by his side.

"I didn’t see a leaderboard
until half way up 11 and I was just kind of trying to plod along, make some
birdies and keep mistakes off the card, which I had," said Hall.

"So to see I was only two
back at that time I thought his (McKenzie) letting me have a chance."

"I said to Graham who was caddying
for me today, that’s all we want around here, is to have a chance."

With tears welling in his
eyes the emotional realisation of the win showed on Hall’s face.

"I haven’t hit good shots in
playoffs in the last few years and that was really a good one there," added
Hall, of his chip-in for birdie on the first playoff hole.

Tara shared the depth of his
joy and satisfaction, clearly shown by her silent tears.

A feeling of relief was
lingering in the room as Hall secured his spot in the ISPS Handa Perth
International.

The clearly emotional
champion took a break during his interview to soak in the gravity of the
situation.

Returning to the bar, Hall
was all smiles with the animation of his personality reappearing to celebrate
the dramatic win with friends and family.

Hall’s Mercedes-Benz Truck
and Bus Victorian Championship victory has reinstalled his belief in himself, proving
he has the ability to play and achieve great things in the game of golf.
