Richard Green is currently tied for the lead at the European Tour’s Trophee Hassan tournament after two rounds.
With scores of 68 and 70, Green is 6-under the card and
currently tied at the top of the leaderboard with Rafa Cabrera-Bello and Richie
Ramsay.
Having not played a tournament since the True Thailand
Classic in February, Green is happy with his performance so far this week.
"I had a
bit of break since Thailand and not played a lot of golf. I got myself ready
for this week and to find myself six under after two rounds is great," said
Green.
"I was
pretty happy with the form in Thailand and the tournaments leading up to that.
I’ve still got the same swing thoughts and mental thoughts, so it has carried
on this week."
The week
prior to Thailand Green won the Oates Vic Open on the PGA Tour of Australasia, it’s
a positive sign that this week’s European Tour venue reminds him of home.
"This is a
tricky golf course and you have to stick to a conservative plan. I like that
sort of golf and it is suiting my game so far," added Green.
"It is very
much like an Australian conditions, with a bit of wind, and it is suiting me."
