A final round charge has given Daniel Gaunt
a top-15 finish and moved the Victorian into the top-45 on the Challenge Tour
Order of Merit.
Gaunt, who has shown good form in recent
weeks, entered the final round of the Made in Denmark Challenge at even par but
reeled off seven birdies in a 5-under round to jump 20 places up the leader
board to T14.
The €3,150 cheque moved Gaunt to 44th on
the Road to Oman standings, an important shift with only the top-45 earners at
the end of the year guaranteed full playing rights.
Gaunt was one of three Australians in the
field in Denmark, Antonio Murdaca and Ben Eccles both failing to make the cut.
A heartbreaking bogey at the 17th
hole of his second round saw Murdaca miss by one stroke while Eccles struggled
from the beginning to finish well off the pace.
