Tim Elliot carded his third round of 71 to take out the South Pacific Classic in New Caledonia by two shots from Queenslander Darren Rix.

Local Jean-Louis Guepy posted 5-under 67 in the final round at Tina Golf Club for a total of 2-over 290. Guepy, who was 6-under on the 16^th tee finished with two pars and a bogey on the 17^th to leave the door open for the final group of Rix and Elliott.

Rix birdied four of the last five holes for a 2-under 70 and an even-par 288 for the tournament but Elliott’s steady play finishing birdie, par, par for a 2-under total of 286 was good enough to take the title.

The Sheraton Deva and Tina Golf Clubs provided to quality golf courses in outstanding condition for the 28 Senior Professionals and with some 60 amateurs playing alongside them for 72 holes a great time was had by all.
