The 23-year-old rookie Professional was sitting in a share of fifth through 36 holes just three shots back from the lead and in good position to make a move.
But the former amateur standout stumbled on Saturday wracking up eight bogies on his way to a 79, the equal worst round of the day.
Things looked to be off to a positive start when he birdied the first hole but gusty winds, which affected the scoring of the entire field, took their toll on the Victorian.
While it was a disappointing round under the circumstance Drakeford restored his pride with a final round 71, enough to move him nine places up the leader board to T39 and earn him his second cheque in as many starts.
Jack Wilson, playing his first event for the year in Belgium, wasn’t at his best for the week but returned scores of 71-73-72-74 to make the cut and finish T60.
