With just two full field events left before the Finals Series that will determine 2017 PGA TOUR cards Oliver Goss is just one of six Australians in need of a good week at the Price Cutter Charity Championship in Missouri this week.
Goss has shown glimpses of form in recent weeks to claw his way inside the top-100 on the money list and likely lock up a Web.com card for next season but the goal will be to move inside the top-75 and have a chance at the big leagues next season.
The top-100 earners at the end of the season retain rights for 2017 but those in the top-75, presently only Rhein Gibson (32nd) and Brett Drewitt (48th), are eligible for the four event Finals Series.
Those in the top-25 automatically earn status on the PGA TOUR.
Steve Allan, Mathew Goggin, Bryden Macpherson and Scott Gardiner are all outside the top-100 and facing a return trip to Qualifying school without a turnaround in the next fortnight.
Goss has rallied in his last three events with some hot scoring but will need to continue the play that has seen him shoot under 70 in six of his last 10 rounds.
Veterans like Steve Allan and Mathew Goggin know it takes only one good week, where something small clicks into place, to turn around an entire season and both will be looking for that key this week.
