Eynesbury local James Gibellini was the one to take it up to Choi, Gibellini started slow with a bogey on his second hole but hit back with an eagle on the 10th to go to 1-under

Two soft bogey’s on 12 and 14 saw him slip to 1-over par, a good birdie on the 18th started a run that included six birdies in his final eight holes to move to 5-under and a share of the lead.

"I just started hitting fairways and that made all the difference and I just got on a run," said Gibellini.

"My plan tomorrow is just to make my tee time early tomorrow morning."
