Brad Burns has continued his domination of the Ladbrokes Legends Tour taking out the Noosa Legends Pro-Am which featured a star-studded field.
Headlined by PGA Life Members Peter Senior, Ian Baker-Finch and Rodger Davis the Noosa Pro-Am was a hotly contested event with Order of Merit Leader Brad Burns showing why he was recognised as the Legends Tour Player of the Year.
Burns fired 8-under 64 to win the title by three shots from Champions Tour players David McKenzie and Australian PGA Seniors Champion Michael Long.
This becomes Burns’ ninth win of the 2018 season and second in his last four events.
“Today was just one of those days where things went my way. I didn’t make too many mistakes and when I did I was able to get out of it without losing any momentum,” said Burns.
“I really enjoy playing Noosa, it’s not far from where I live and it’s a course where I seem to feel comfortable playing.
“It’s a big week of golf on the Sunshine Coast, so it’s a nice way to start.”
The players now turn their attention to the $70,000 Sunshine Coast Masters which tees off at midday tomorrow at the Twin Waters and Pelican Waters Golf Clubs.
