Adam Bland has vaulted back into the top-10 on the Japan Tour Order of Merit after a runner-up finish in the Bridgestone Open at the weekend.
The South Australian, who held top spot on the earnings table after his maiden win at the Japan PGA in May, cashed his second biggest cheque of the year after finishing in a four way share of second.
Bland made his move with a Saturday 67 to climb into the top 10 and finished two shots behind eventual winner Michio Matsumara with a final round 69.
It was an encouraging week for the left-hander, his form improving at the time of year when some of the Tour’s richest tournaments are played.
Bland was one of five Australasians to make the cut, Won Joon Lee (T20), David Smail (T29), Matt Griffin (T42) and Brad Kennedy (T54) also making the weekend.
Michael Hendry and Kurt Barnes both missed the cut.
