Australia will be represented by; World Number 8 Jason Day, World Number 14 Marc Leishman, World Number 42 Cameron Smith, World Number 67 Adam Scott, Jason Scrivener, David Bransdon, Lucas Herbert, Aaron Baddeley and Matt Jones.
New Zealand will be represented by Ryan Fox and Tim Wilkinson.
Among the 11 representatives, four are making their U.S. Open debut in Ryan Fox, Lucas Herbert, Jason Scrivener and David Bransdon.
After surviving Sectional Qualifying, Adam Scott keeps his incredible consecutive major streak alive and will tee it up in his 17th consecutive U.S. Open and 68th consecutive Major Championship appearance.
With the first of the 11 players underway just before 9.00pm AEST, there’ll be a good amount of golf to follow for fans down under.
WA professional Jason Scrivener will have the honour of getting the Australasian contingent underway in his first Major appearance alongside Americans Trey Mullinax and Matt Parziale.
David Bransdon and Aaron Baddeley get underway shortly after with Jason Day beginning his campaign in one of the marquee groups.
He’ll tee off alongside defending champion Brooks Koepka and two-time Masters Champion Bubba Watson, Day a former major champion himself having won the 2015 PGA Championship.
Marc Leishman features alongside Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama and Rickie Fowler in what is sure to be an entertaining group.
United States based New Zealander Tim Wilkinson is next off followed closely by Ryan Fox and Aussie Matt Jones playing in the same group with Shota Akiyoshi completing the group off at 2:30am AEST.
Queenslander Cameron Smith made quite an impression at The Masters earlier this year with a T5 finish, he’s previously finished T4 in his U.S. Open debut back in 2015 and begins his third campaign at 3:36am AEST.
Adam Scott will tee off the 10th shortly after Smith with Henrik Stenson and Martin Kaymer while Lucas Herbert is the last of the 11 to begin in round one at 4:20am AEST.
