After the horrible selections for the stroke play portion of the ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth, TI did manage to select three of the four semi-finalists with TI’s winning selection of Adrian Otaegui losing in the final. So, a mixed bag of results for the TI last week.

Now looking at the Coca-Cola QLD PGA Championship presented by Toowoomba Regional Council, it looks like a quality field is ready to attack City Golf Club. There are some seriously good golfers playing this week.

ANDREW DODT – $17 @ Ladbrokes.com.au

A two time European Tour winner and born no less than 20km from here, Andrew knows this place like the back of his hand. Rumours are that the bronze statue of him in his home town of Gatton is due to have a revamp with an additional title here this week.

STEPHEN ALLAN – $61 @ Labrokes.com.au

A bit of a smokey here, Stephen has been playing in America for as long as I can remember and is here to tune up his game. Personally, TI thinks his game style is perfect for Toowoomba. A good driver of the ball and putts it very well. Tactically Toowoomba is won by guys who are extremely straight off the tee or guys who can bomb it on the par-4’s. Stephen is definitely the former.

LINCOLN TIGHE – $126 @Ladbrokes.com.au

Talk about bombers of the ball and this man is the first to come to mind! Lincoln is back this week after missing 2018 with a broken hand from shredding too hard. But he looks set for a big 2019 starting in Toowoomba this week! Linc looks like he has lost a bit of size whilst not playing but still probably in the top-5 biggest arms on Tour and will drive almost all the par-4’s if he so chooses.

ANDREW MARTIN – $51 @ Ladbrokes.com.au

Marto had a solid 2018 and has kicked off great guns in 2019. He is not the longest hitter but in the same mould as Allan, I’m liking his prep and expect a solid event here again.

NICK FLANAGAN – $26 @ Ladbrokes.com.au

It’s great to see this guy back playing some good golf! He has all the assets to win events and has proven that winning multiple times on the Web.com tour. Nick has put some really good rounds together without having that great four rounds yet this year. TI thinks he can do that at this venue with a good result just around the corner.
