A healthy mix of veterans and newcomers will fly the Australian flag when the Panama Claro Championship kicks off the 2015 Web.com Tour season this week in South America.

A healthy mix of veterans and newcomers will fly the Australian flag when the Panama Claro Championship kicks off the 2015 Web.com Tour season this week in South America.

"Mathew2011 winner of the event Mathew Goggin heads a list of players that includes, among others, newcomers Oliver Goss, Bryden Macpherson and Brett Drewitt as well as seasoned campaigners such as Alistair Presnell, Scott Gardiner and Steve Allan.In

 all 14 Australians will take their place in the field, all hoping to get off to a fast start in the race for PGA TOUR cards for the 2016 season.

With 25 full cards on offer via the money list the early season events take on extra significance, especially for players with limited status.

The full list of Australians to tee up this week is: Scott Gardiner, Aron Price, Bryden Macpherson, Mathew Goggin, Steve Allan, James Nitties, Adam Crawford, Ash Hall, Alistair Presnell, Rod Pampling, Brett Drewitt, Rhein Gibson, Oliver Goss and Bronson La’Cassie.

Both Gardiner and La’Cassie are back on the secondary Tour after failing to keep their PGA TOUR cards at the end of last season while Drewitt earned his way to the US via the new PGA TOUR China series last year.

Aron Price and Steve Allan both finished top-10 in this event last year while Alistair Presnell finished runner-up to Mathew Goggin in 2011.
