A double bogey six at the par-4 13th hole on Sunday proved costly for Rod Pampling who missed a five way play-off at the PGA TOUR’S opposite field Puerto Rico Open by two shots.

"RodPampling, stepping up from the Web.com Tour for the week,
made up for the late round stumble with an eagle at the par-5 18th
but it was too little too late in a tight scoring event which saw 16 players
finish within two of the lead.

While he may not have got the win, the eagle at the last did ensure Pampling’s T10th finish which earns him a place in next week’s PGA TOUR tournament.

Difficult conditions greeted the field at Trump
International Puerto Rico with the cut being made at 2-over par on Friday.

Jarrod Lyle and Cameron Percy, the other two Australians in
the field, both missed the weekend with Percy one shot shy and Lyle two.

Pampling had an up and down week making 14 birdies and an
eagle over the four rounds but offset with nine bogeys and a double.

His finish to the third round was particularly disappointing
making four bogeys in six holes to end his day after shooting 3-under for the
front nine.
