Allan continues creeping up money list

Steve Allan is within touching distance of a 2016 PGA TOUR card after posting one of his best results for the year at the Boise Open this week.

"SteveAllan has been lurking within striking
distance of the top-25 on the Web.com Tour money list for most of the season
and four sub 70 rounds in Idaho moved him to 31st this week.

The top-25 earners at the end of the season
will gain status on the PGA TOUR in 2016.

Allan shot rounds of 66-66-67-69 at Hillcrest
Country Club to finish T14 and the accompanying cheque for $12,018 brings his
earnings for the year to $99,568.

While Allan will be pleased with his week’s
work so, too, will Bryden Macpherson who has struggled for form all year.

Playing his rookie season on the Web.com Tour
Macpherson had made just four of 10 cuts coming into this week but played some
good golf with rounds of 66-70-67-68 to finish T36, his second best result of
the year.

Allan and Macpherson were among 13
Australians to tee up this week with just four making the cut, James Nitties (T63)
and Aron Price (T70) the others.

Rhein Gibson and Mathew Goggin both shot
5-under for the first two rounds but dropped down the money list after missing
the cut, which came at an impressive 6-under.

Goggin is now 25th and Gibson 27th
though both still have an excellent chance of pushing their way back in by
season’s end.

Also missing the weekend were Bronson
La’Cassie, Brett Drewitt, Adam Crawford, Nick Flanagan, Alistair Presnell, Ash
Hall and Oliver Goss.

It was a particularly disappointing result for
Goss coming off his best finish of the season in Canada last week.
