Rhein Gibson will be looking to overcome a disappointing final round 75 last week and push his way into PGA TOUR calculations with a good performance at the penultimate Web.comTour Finals Series event this week.

"RheinGibson teed off last Sunday in a share of 5th
position at the Small Business Connection Championship but two back nine double
bogeys cruelled his chances of a top-10 finish.

It was frustrating stuff in an otherwise
good week where Gibson made 20 birdies over the course of the four days.

At 31st on the Finals Series
money list Gibson is close to securing playing rights on the PGA TOUR next year
and if he can limit his mistakes this week could all but ensure status for
2016.

Steve Allan is the only one of the 10
Australians teeing up in the Finals Series who is currently inside the top-25
and his consistent form of the past month suggests he will likely remain there.

At 19th in the standings his
position is not assured but, like Gibson, this week’s Nationwide Children’s
Hospital Championship will be crucial.

Also teeing up this week are Oliver Goss
(40th), Aaron Baddeley and Cameron Percy (T52), Mathew Goggin (65th)
and Greg Chalmers (T82).

All have been disappointing in the opening
two events and now need good finishes in each of the final two events to have a
chance at playing the main Tour next year.

Robert Allenby and Stuart Appleby are also
in the field but neither have any earnings so don’t appear on the list.

Allenby withdrew from the first event and
elected not to play last week as he recovers from a back injury while Appleby
missed the cut in each of the first two events.

Rod Pampling is also in the field but
having finished in the top-25 earners at the end of the regular season is
already guaranteed a 2016 PGA TOUR card and is playing the Finals only to
improve his exemption category.
