However, when Millie (7) and her brothers Noah (8) and Kai (10) met Daniel Popovic their skill level had him a little nervous that one day he will have to face at least Kai and Noah out on the course.
The Komulainen siblings have already got some great results to their names. Kai competed in the US Kids World Championships this year and both he and Millie have qualified for next year’s event in North Carolina. Noah finished second in his age division in the qualifying tournament so is still a chance to compete as well.
"It’s great to see a family who really love their golf and are doing so well at such a young age," Daniel said. "They are obviously getting the right instruction as they have great technique but most importantly love the game."
"If they choose to continue with the sport I think they have a great shot and I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for their names in years to come."
Mother Tammy Komulainen says the kids have really led the push to play. "Kai was the first to try it out and he just became obsessed and after that it was impossible to keep Noah and Millie off the course. They are each other’s biggest competition and are constantly pushing each other to improve.
"Millie has only been playing since the start of the year but she is a real natural, I think she may give her brothers a run for their money in a few years."
