New South Welshman Martin Dive and Daniel Bringolf have shared the spoils winning the $25,000 Leeton Sunrice Pro-Am.

The pair finishing the 36-hole tournament tied at 9-under with round one leader Joshua Ingram one shot further back in a tie for third with Steve Conran.

Both Bringolf and Dive praised the efforts of the club and local community after a severe thunderstorm after play in round caused considerable damage to the course.

"It’s amazing to think we were playing today," said Dive.

"To think only 12 hours before play started there were live powerlines down across the course and all those fallen trees, it really is unbelievable to job they’ve done."

The Leeton Sunrice Pro-Am has a long tradition on the NSW/ACT pro-am swing of events having been run annually for nearly 25 years.

Resident PGA Professional Jason Mimmo, along with major sponsor Sunrice, delivered a major event for the region which significantly impacts on the local economy.

The Leeton Sunrice Pro-Am is in the second of three events on the Choice Hotels Pro-Am series in the region. The first, the Griffith City Volkswagen Pro-Am, was won by Luke Hickman with a 5-under par round of 66.
