Chalmers claimed a share of 10th position at 6-under for the week but will rue posting both a triple bogey and a double bogey over his final nine holes.

Heading into the final round in a share of fifth position, the West Australian was on track for his best result of the 2016 season until the two mishaps on the back nine.

This was Chalmers’ fourth Web.com Tour start for 2016 where he has two missed cuts and a T7 while missing four of five cuts on the PGA TOUR.

With limited status on the main circuit, every week is important for Chalmers as he tries to earn back full playing privileges.

Like Rod Pampling the last two seasons, Chalmers is giving himself two potential paths back to the PGA TOUR either via a top-25 money list finish on the secondary Tour or a string of good performances on the main Tour.

While he will be disappointed with the final result Chalmers can take confidence from his play in Indiana where he made 26 birdies over the four rounds.

Brett Drewitt was next best among the Australians at T26, while Scott Gardiner and Bryden Macpherson both finished tied 31st.

It was another encouraging week for Gardiner as he tries to regain from after a lengthy break due to injury.

Steve Allan made his fifth cut in seven starts for the year and was T36 at 1-over for the week while Peter Lonard had a horror weekend to fall to last place in the field.

Oliver Goss and Mathew Goggin also teed up in the tournament but both failed to make the cut.
