Greg Chalmers has won the Barracuda Championship to secure
his first PGA TOUR title.
An Aussie fan favourite, Chalmers played impressive golf all
week at the modified stableford tournament.
Starting the final round Chalmers had a six point lead but
got off to a nervous start opening with a bogey.
Chalmers withstood a final round charge from Gary Woodland
and headed to the 18th tee with a one point lead.
Playing a beautiful tee shot straight down the middle,
Chalmers was cool, calm and collected as he went onto secure his win with an
eagle.
Incredibly important, this win has secured Chalmers status
on the PGA TOUR until the end of the 2018 season but also sees him gain starts
in the year’s final two Majors; The Open and PGA Championship.
