biggest cheques of the year in his last three events.
Lee finished T15 at
even par at this week’s Heiwa PGM Championship to pick up $AU38,000, his
biggest payout of the year surpassing the $37,000 he won a fortnight ago when
he finished T12 in the Japan Open.
The good run has moved
him to 53rd on the money list and guaranteed his card for the 2017
season with just four events remaining.
New Zealand’s Michael
Hendry posted the same score as Lee at the Sobhu Country Club to retain his
ninth position on the money list, the best of the Australasians playing full
time in Japan.
His nearest
challenger, Queensland’s Brad Kennedy, slipped to 11th this week
after missing just his second cut of the year.
Adam Bland played
solid golf to be 1-over and T20 with Brendan Jones a further two shots back and
T28.
Kurt Barnes struggled
on Sunday with a disappointing 4-over 76 to slip 14 places down the leaderboard
to T44. Scott Strange, the last of the Australasians to play the weekend, finished
near the tail of the field.
