Blyth builds on lead at NSW Open

A change in caddy hasn’t halted Adam Blyth, the Queenslander
will take a four shot lead into the final round of the NSW Open.

"AdamAfter crediting his girlfriend’s caddying skills as the
secret to his success over the first two rounds, Blyth had regular caddy and
dad, Stephen, on his bag in the third round at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Course.

"We are a good team but there was a lot of pressure on dad
to hold it up," said Blyth.

"But we all know our job and we just get in and do it so it’s
not that big of a deal."

In tough winds, Blyth managed to fire 6-under 66 to lead the
NSW Open by four shots on 22-under the card.

"It was tough out there today. To get a good score like that
was very satisfying. To finish well on those last few holes which were down wind,
it was good," added Blyth, who had the golf gods on his side today.

"Something I will never forget, the par-3 6th
hole, I hooked it into the hazard. I really was just trying to get it out of
the hazard, somewhere into the bunker or just behind the green.

"I flopped it out and luckily it came out to about 30 foot
and I holed the par putt.

"That was a momentum builder, it would have been a four or
five but I was able to get away with a three."

Blyth hopes to turn his handy lead into his second win of
the 2016 PGA Tour of Australasia season after he already won the South Pacific
Open in September.

"I am in a great position and I have learnt a lot throughout
the year, hopefully I can take that into tomorrow," added Blyth.

"I just have to keep playing the same game plan around here,
there isn’t too much different to do tomorrow. Just keep playing well and hole
some putts."

With rounds of 65, 66, and 67, Peter Wilson is poised to
strike on Sunday with plenty of talented players just behind him with the same
plan.

At 17-under the card Rhein Gibson will join Blyth and Wilson
in the final group tomorrow teeing off at 11.15am

Rounding out the top-5 on the leaderboard is Scottish
amateur Connor Syme who fired the best round of the day; 8-under 64.

He is joined on 15-under the card by Jarryd Felton, Rory
Bourke and fellow amateur Brett Coletta.

The final round of the NSW Open tees off tomorrow at 7am at
Stonecutter Ridge Golf Course.
