Heavy fog greeted players for the Moranbah Mini Earthmovers Pro-Am but it didn’t prove an issue for Steven Jeffress.
The 2014 Fiji International Champion had a solid 8-under par 64 and holds the lead going into the final round of Moranbah Mini Earthmovers Pro-Am.
Jefress’ round consisted of six birdies and an eagle coming at the difficult 493m par-5, 6th hole.
“I’m really focusing on my course management at the moment and it’s paying dividends,” Jeffress said.
“My main focus is to not put myself in a position where I am likely to make a bogey or worse, it can be very easy to find trouble on these courses.”
The next best placed Professional is Paul Hayden who played the morning field and shot a 6-under 66. Hayden has also been very consistent throughout the Onsite Rental Group Mining Town Series.
“I’m feeling really good about my game and I looking forward to being in contention again tomorrow,” Hayden said.
The Onsite Rental Group Mining Towns Series leaderboard after five rounds has Steven Jeffress extending his lead on 25-under par with a five shot lead over Paul Hayden at 20-under par. Brett Rankin is a further four shots back on 16-under.
The final round of the Moranbah Mini Earthmovers Pro-Am is underway with the lead group including Steven Jeffress and Paul Hayden teeing off at 12.00pm
