Michael Sim
You simply can’t ignore a player with so
much talent. Michael’s recent resurgence on the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of
Australasia comes at little surprise to most. Golf fans should make the most of
the opportunities to watch him in Australia before he hits the big time
overseas again. Just this week American Wesley Bryan earned a battle field
promotion onto the PGA Tour following his third win on the Web.Com Tour this
season, a feat Michael accomplished in 2009 and will no doubt be channeling the
memories this week. Word on the practice green is Simmy shot 61 at his home
club Lakelands on the Gold Coast just last week…

Ashley Hall
The big Victorian comes into the NT PGA following
a solid start to the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia season. Whilst
Palmerston Golf Club offers a somewhat different vibe to the Melbourne
Sandbelt, it’s just as demanding as Huntingdale off the tee, where Ash was
victorious earlier this year at the Victorian PGA Championship. Ash has been soaking
up the sights Darwin has to offer including participating in a recent Fishing
Charter, where he feed more fish than caught, I’m sure there will be plenty of
birdies on offer for him on the course.

Stephen Leaney
He is a household name amongst Australian
golfing fans but most may not have them in their calculations this week. Whilst
majority of the younger Pro’s have been finding their form across the National
Pro-Am circuit, whispers on the driving range are that Stephen has been honing
his game locally in Adelaide and is here for one reason this week…to win. Don’t
disregard.

Matthew Millar
Need I say more, week in, week out, he
continues to produce results. It seems every course the Tour travels to suits
Millar, Why? Well I think I saw him miss a fairway…once…maybe in 2013…I can’t
remember. Just two weeks ago Millar took out the Yepoon Golf Classic with a
four round score of 26-under, backing up his top-10 in Rockhampton where he
shot 15-under. His putter has hit a hot streak of late and I expect "The Rug"
(as he is known on Tour) to catch fire here in Palmerston.

Tim Hart
All I can say is, lucky he is first group off,
as Tim has the ability to drive four or five of the Palmerston par-4’s this
week. Glad I’m not in the group in front of him! If you pair Tim’s distance off
the tee with some solid course management, he could well be the man to beat.
Whilst he is well known amongst his fellow Professionals for his driver, let’s
not forget he won by eight shots recently in Fiji with a score of 16-under for three
rounds…oh and he didn’t hit a driver all week! Twice this year he has recorded
a score of 61 and no one would be surprised if he did it again this week in the
Northern Territory.
