Competing in the second event on the WA Ladbrokes Legends Tour swing, a stellar field headed south of Perth to vie for their share of the $11,000 prize purse.
Firing 3-under 69 in stunning conditions, the tough layout proved no challenge for Long who took home his first win of the WA swing.
“The course looked and played amazing today so credit to Jason Kelly and his team,” said Long.
“It was great to be back to Royal Fremantle for the inaugural Legends Pro-Am.
“A huge shout out to Stephen Herbert for his commitment and passion in getting this event up and running. All at Royal Fremantle should be proud!”
Second place was shared by New Zealand’s Dean Sipson and winner of this week’s Pro Weld Construction Legends Pro-Am at Wembley Golf Course, Peter Lonard; both recording scores of 2-under 70.
WA Chairman Rob Farley, Lucien Tinkler, Glenn Joyner, Michael Harwood and Steve Conran shared fourth place after shooting 1-under 71.
Players now head north to Joondalup Country Club for the ADH Club Car & Garrock Legends Pro-Am.
