As would be expected the leaderboard of the Australian PGA Championship has defending champion Adam Scott right up amongst it going into the weekend.
After consistent rounds of 68 and 69 to leave Scott on a 36-hole total of 7-under par for outright third, it is certain the weekend will bode for an exciting finale.
"It was really solid golf from tee to green today. Still a bit frustrated not to take advantage of more of the holes, especially a couple of the par five’s," said Scott following his round.
"It is still tricky out there, just because the greens are softer and a bit slower doesn’t make it that much easier."
Heading into the weekend at two shots back, Scott feels confident in his position and is as determined as ever to defend his title.
"It’s nice going into a weekend not feeling like I’ve got to reel them in so much," added Scott.
"I really want to finish this off with a win and hold a trophy in my hand this year."
The congratulations for today however should be focused off the course as the exciting news of his impending fatherhood broke.
With many friends on the Tour who have kids of their own, the 34 year old Scott is excited, prepared and as expected cool and collected about the life changing news.
"It’s exciting for sure, it’s all gone smoothly. I’ve got plenty of guys to lean on if I have any problems".
Exciting news it is, a big shout out of congratulations to Adam and his Marie.
