After a disappointing weekend at last week’s European Masters Todd Sinnott gets another chance on the European Tour with a sponsor’s invite to this week’s KLM Open in The Netherlands.

Sinnott opened brilliantly in Switzerland last week with rounds of 65-66 seeing him T3 through 36 holes and a legitimate contender heading to the weekend.

While disappointed with his scoring over the final two rounds much of the damage was done in two holes on Sunday with a triple bogey at the fourth and a double at the eighth.

However, consecutive eagles at the back to back par-5s at 14 and 15 showed both his physical capabilities and his tenacity as he salvaged something out of what was shaping as a disastrous round.

Sinnott is one of the longest hitters in the game and won his first Professional title earlier this year in Myanmar to secure status on both the Asian and Japan Tours.

He has all the physical skills required to compete with the best in the world and with his confidence high after last week’s play could pose a threat this week.

Sinnott is joined in the field by Sam Brazel, Jason Norris, Andrw Dodt, Nathan Holman, Brett Rumford, Jason Scrivener, Wade Ormsby, Richard Green, Terry Pilkadaris and New Zealand’s Ryan Fox.

Fox, like Sinnott, plays an explosive game and there was much to like about his play in Switzerland, too.

In his first trip to Crans-sur-Sierre he finished an impressive T9 though can point to three bad holes which proved costly for the week.

In each of the first three rounds Fox registered a double bogey, six dropped shots too much for any player to overcome at this level.

However, it has been an outstanding year for the 30-year-old in almost every other way with a run of three top 5s in three of the Tour’s biggest events in July seeing him to 22^nd on the Race to Dubai.

While Fox has been playing some of the best golf of his career in 2017 the opposite is true for Nathan Holman who has struggled mightily with his game.

However, the likable 2015 Australian PGA champion made his first cut since February last week and while he has a long way to go it is an encouraging first step on the road to finding his game again.
