Peter Senior produced three consecutive rounds of 71 at this week’s Insperity Invitational on the Champions Tour to take top Australian honours.

Senior finished T24 and his second best result in four tournaments this year. Senior lost full Champions Tour playing rights at the end of last season and is playing a limited schedule in 2015.

Also gaining a start this week was Tim Elliott, teeing up on the US over 50’s circuit for the first time.

Elliott was solid in the opening two rounds firing 72-73 but fell away on Sunday with an 81 to finish T69.

Steve Elkington also found the going tough for the week, an opening round 77 putting him in trouble early and despite improving with 75-72 at the weekend he finished 66th in the 79 man field.
