Peter Senior posted his best finish of the year with a T10 result at the Champions Tour’s Principal Charity Classic at the weekend.
Having lost full playing rights on the
over-50’s circuit in 2014 after three brilliant seasons, Senior is trying to
play his way back on to the Tour but has struggled for his best form so far
this year.
This week’s finish marks his first top-10
and could have been even better but for an indifferent final round.
Senior was in a share of sixth through two
rounds but in a low scoring tournament his 2-under final round saw him drop
four places in the field.
He climbed from 61st to 58th on the Charles
Schwab Cup points list but will need to be in the top-30 by year’s end to
regain his full card.
