Round one of the Australian PGA Championship resumed this morning after storms halted play at RACV Royal Pines Resort on Thursday.
Play was called off at 5:30pm on Thursday afternoon forcing groups who teed off after 11am to return at 5:30am Friday to complete round one.
"We’ve had much worse than this" said Tournament Director, Andrew Langford-Jones on Thursday.
"We lost Thursday in its entirety a few years ago and a little bit of Friday and still finished 72 holes by four or five o’clock on Sunday."
Korean born Jin Jeong had no trouble adjusting to the altered schedule, creeping up the leaderboard with a staggering seven birdies to equal the lead with American, Boo Weekley.
All groups have now completed round one.
Round two commencing at 7:00am this morning, only one hour later than originally scheduled.
"At this stage there is no thought that it will be going into Monday." said Langford-Jones.
