Of the four Australasians teeing up in this week’s Nedbank Golf Challenge on the European Tour only Scott Hend has any experience at the Gary Player CC in Sun City, host of the second last event of the season.

Hend was in good position after three rounds of the tournament last year but faded on Sunday, a final round 80 dropping him more than 30 places down the standings from T13 to T44.

However, the veteran Queenslander brings good form to the first tee Thursday after a solid final round in Turkey last week and having already shown a liking for the course will fancy his chances in South Africa.

Hend is joined in the field by Ryan Fox, Andrew Dodt and Sam Brazel, all making their debut at the event which is one of three lucrative Rolex Series tournaments to end the year.

Brazel faces the most pressure of the three as he currently sits 59^th in the Race to Dubai rankings with only the top-60 to qualify for the season finale at the DP World Tour Championship next week.

Ryan Fox is the best of the Australasians on the season long points table at 31^st with Dodt 38^th and Hend 40^th, all three likely to be in Dubai competing for the end of year bonus money.
