It was voted the NSW country pro-am of the year so it’s no
surprise to see the quality of players who have assembled to play the Ron
Crouch Transport Wagga Pro-Am.

"MattTeeing off yesterday players the calibre of 2015 PGA Tour of
Australasia Player of the Year Matthew Millar, three time European Tour winner
Peter O’Malley as well as some of the young guns on Tour Dimi Papadatos,
Lincoln Tighe and Jake Higginbottom are all in the field.

"The golf course is in the best condition I have ever
seen since coming to Wagga," said Millar.

While Papadatos added, "It’s a first class event. It’s one
of the best pro-ams on the circuit and has a real top notch tournament
atmosphere."

However it was Dale Brandt-Richards and Leigh McKechnie who
lit up the course in the first round.

They each fired rounds of 6-under 66 to lead by one shot
from defending champion Mitchell A. Brown, Jamie Hook and Grant Thomas.

A further shot back are Jordan Mullaney and Dimi Papadatos
while Andrew Campbell, Josh Cabban, Luke Humphries, Alex Simpson, Andrew Evans,
Lincoln Tighe and Aaron Townsend round out the top-10 on 3-under the card.

The second and final round is now in progress to determine
who will claim a win and the lion’s share of the $35,000 prize purse.
