Club Catalina, the 2014 Legends Tour Pro-Am of the year venue, once again provided a perfectly prepared course for the 70 Legends Tour Professionals on day one of the Catalina Legends Pro-Am.

Taking advantage of the beautiful conditions were five players including Order of Merit leader Mike Harwood who along with Tod Power, David Hando, Alan Cooper and Richard Backwell all carded 3-under par rounds of 69.

Day two had a Pro only field with a rolling start from the first tee giving the $25,000 event a real tournament feel. Unfortunately, the players woke up to a golf course that had seen 15mm of rain over night and it showed no signs of stopping.

Even par rounds of 72 from David Merriman and South African Chris Williams put them in good stead with only a few games left on the course but Mike Harwood backed up his 69 with a 73 to take the Club House lead.

Tod Power, who was in the final group of the day, birdied the par 4 17th to take a two shot lead which allowed him the luxury of making bogey on 18 to shot 72 and win by one shot.

At the presentation Tod praised the condition of the course and was proud to have achieved his first win at Catalina against a field that included Australian golfing Legends such as Rodger Davis, Mike Harwood and Peter Fowler.
