Greg Chalmers was triumphant in an epic playoff with Adam Scott and Wade Ormsby today for the final round of the Australian PGA Championship on the Gold Coast.
Greg Chalmers was triumphant in an epic playoff with Adam Scott and Wade Ormsby today for the final round of the Australian PGA Championship on the Gold Coast.
First in the clubhouse was Greg Chalmers after an astonishing 8-under the card 64, to finish on -11.
While defending champion Adam Scott birdied the 15th to join him in the lead with 3 holes to play.
Wade Ormsby finished his round with a huge birdie putt which resulted in a three-way tie for the lead to head back to the 18th tee for a playoff.
Ormsby was the first forced out after missing a putt for birdie on the fourth playoff-hole. Defending Champion Adam Scott went toe-to-toe with Greg Chalmers before missing a makeable putt for par, allowing Chalmers to claim his second Kirkwood cup in four years.
