Play is underway in the second round of the Oates Vic Open at Thirteenth Beach Golf Links.

Calm conditions greeted players in the morning field providing the perfect opportunity to post a low number.

Richard Green, Kris Mueck and Daniel Nisbet all lead the tournament following the first round but it’s Nisbet who will capitalise this morning.

Of the trio he is the only player on course in the morning field and is playing the creek course, which traditionally has offered up more birdies than the beach course at Thirteenth Beach Golf Links.

Picking up where he left off yesterday Nisbet has already posted an eagle at the par-5 2nd hole to take the outright lead at 8-under the card.

Also making a move this morning is New Zealander Josh Geary who is 3-under after 3 holes on the beach course. He is now 4-under the card and tied 5th on the leaderboard.

Richard Green will be on course today at 12pm with Kris Mueck out at 1pm. The pair are both playing the beach course.
