Rookie Professional Antonio Murdaca has
earned his first start on the Web.com Tour thanks to a superb effort in the
Monday pre-qualifying.

"AntonioMurdaca shot a 4-under 68 at the Stonewall
Orchard Golf Club in Illinois to finish T2 with two other players and grab one
of the six spots available.

The winner of the prestigious Asia Pacific
Amateur Championship at Royal Melbourne in 2014 has based himself in America
this year and played mini tour events and tried to Monday qualify for
tournaments.

This week marks his first success and the
South Australian will be keen to make the most of the opportunity as he has no
status on any Tour outside Australia.

Murdaca is one of nine Australians who will
play the Rust Oleum Championship in Illinois, Steve Allan, Peter Lonard, Bryden
Macpherson, Brett Drewitt, Mathew Goggin, Oliver Goss, Greg Chalmers and Scott
Gardiner also in the field while Bronson La’Cassie is listed as an alternate.

Drewitt is the man of the moment among the
Australians coming off two good weeks that have seen him jump to the fringes of
the top-25 money earners.

After a difficult start to the season
Drewitt has clearly found something in his game with a runner-up and a top-20
his last two starts and he will be keen to keep the momentum going this week.

While Drewitt has found form in recent
weeks the same can’t be said for most of the Australian contingent with only
Greg Chalmers (67), Steve Allan (65) and Bryden Macpherson (77) inside the top-50
on the earnings table.

Mathew Goggin (171), Scott Gardiner (141)
and Oliver Goss (139) have all found the first half of the season tough going.

With the top 25 earning a spot on the 2017
PGA TOUR and the top 75 having a chance to play for another 25 cards it’s
crucial to be as high up the standings as possible come season’s end.
