Brett Rankin and R.J. Caracella have won the Murwillumbah Pro-Am in its 21st year, with more than 200 Professionals treated to one of the best courses on the Northern Rivers of New South Wales yesterday.
Adam Stephens recorded the lead score from the morning field firing a 1-under 70, but it wasn’t enough to stop Caracella and Monday’s Casino Pro-Am winner Rankin, who shot 4-under 67 for a three shot win.
Rankin finished second on the Sunshine Swing Order of Merit in 2014 and appears to be returning to good form.
"It is always a pleasure to play at the Murwillumbah Golf Club. The course is definitely one of the best we get to play on each year and this year has certainly been no different," said Rankin.
"I hit the ball really well today and thankfully didn’t short side myself on too many occasions around the greens."
"It’s great to be back playing after recent hand surgery and I can’t really question my form after back-to-back wins."
Professionals will now enjoy a day off before the Crowe Horwath Yamba Pro-Am tees off on Saturday and where Rankin will be looking for his third win in as many starts.
