New Zealand young gun Ryan Fox has looked to Australia’s first Masters champion for guidance as he prepares for his first Major championship.
Earning his place via Final Qualifying, Fox is taking every measure to ensure he is fully prepared to take on the challenging test of St Andrews.
"This is the biggest stage I’ve played on by far and a good performance could obviously open doors," Fox told The London Telegraph.
"But I’m not going to put pressure on myself because that’s the worst thing you can do. I’ll just enjoy the week."
Having already spent a week in Scotland immersing himself in The Open, Fox then turned to Adam Scott for guidance around The Old Course.
Fox spent 9 holes playing with the 2013 Masters champion who has finished in the top-5 at The Open for the past three years.

However it is the man carrying Scott’s bag and a fellow Kiwi who might be able to provide the most insight to Fox.
Steve Williams is once again caddying for Adam Scott and has some winning knowledge that he can impart on both his employer and Fox.
Williams was caddying for Tiger Woods when he won The Open at St Andrews in 2000 and 2005.
"He (Fox) hasn’t played here before, there’s a lot to take in," Williams told One News.
"Every day the wind is different. The course plays vastly different so it’s good to be with him today and he’s soaking up the atmosphere."
"I’ve been following Ryan’s progress this year," added Williams.
"He’s had a great year and he’s in some great form. He’s looking forward to the week and there’s no reason he can’t play well."
Ryan Fox, who is often more recognisable as the son of All Black great Grant Fox, might not be a big name in world golf but that could all change this week when he tees up at The Open.
However he has already left his mark on the PGA Tour of Australasia having won the 2014 WA Open and 2015 Queensland PGA Championship.
Since then Fox has caught the eye of renowned manager, Chubby Chandler who has helped him secure starts on the European Challenge Tour.
"I’ve played a couple events on the Challenge Tour and have done OK. I am going for status on that tour and, hopefully from there, I’ll get on the European Tour," said Fox who finished top-10 in his first two starts on the tour.
