After a stunning win at last week’s Hong Kong Open Scott Hend will keep the good vibes going this week when he defends the Macau Open title he won in thrilling fashion last year.
The big hitting Queenslander, still revelling in winning a European Tour card on the back of last week’s victory, will be among the favourites when play gets underway Thursday.
Hend plays his best golf when he plays a lot and with his confidence at an all time high would be hard to bet against this week.
There will be 14 Australians in this year’s field as the Asian Tour ramps up for a strong finish to the season.
There are nine events left on the schedule including next week’s PGA TOUR co-sanctioned CIMB Masters and the following week’s WGC event in Shanghai.
Among those in the field this week are Phillipines Open winner Marcus Both, Queensland Open champion Andrew Dodt and former New Zealand Open winner Dimi Papadatos.
