Very windy conditions made the championship layout even tougher and scoring extremely difficult, Simon Hawkes would outlast the field to win with a 3-over par 74.
Hawkes has been playing on the Mackenzie (Canadian) Tour over the past few months.
“I’ve just come back from Canadian Tour where I have learnt so much. It’s been great to play in four round events each week and see what it will take for me to get to the next level," Hawkes said.
"I’m back in Australia for the rest of the year and hope I can put into play all I have learnt in the last few months."
Joint runners up where Jordan Zunic and Leigh McKechnie with 4-over 75.
One of Concord’s leading junior’s Jason Hong played alongside the professionals and shot a respectable 82 given the conditions.
The Concord Invitational is an event to help raise money for the Concord Junior Program which Jason has been a part of for the last three years.
Through this opportunity at Concord Jason has been able to progress his game to the point where he has been given a golf scholarship to Purdue University in the USA.
