Queensland Professional Tim Hart has fired a stunning 4-under par 68 around the difficult Ocean Shores Country Club Championship layout to claim victory by two shots from female Professional Jessica Cowie.
Professional Tim Hart got his round off to the perfect start when he scored a hole-in-one on the par3, 3rd hole using a wedge from 143 metres.
Hart’s round included four birdies coming at the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 13th and just two bogeys on the 10th and 16th holes threatened to derail his round.
“My ball striking was really consistent today,” Hart said.
“The hole-in-one on the 3rd hole gave me a lot of confidence early on in my round and I was able to continue that form."
Professional Jessica Cowie and former Ocean Shores Country Club member used her local knowledge to shoot the low round of the morning field scoring a 2-under par 70 and to move into outright second place.
“I thought it would be nice to combine a trip back home to visit family while also playing a few events at the same time," said Cowie.
The next stop on the Ladbrokes PGA Pro-Am Series is the Tweed Coast Nissan and Tweed Coast Mazda Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club Pro-Am to be played Friday 13 October at the Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club.
