Nathan Green has won the Waratah Pro-Am sponsored by Coca-Cola by three strokes with an extraordinary score of 7-under 64 at Waratah Golf Club.
Green, who grew up playing at Waratah Golf Club, bested a field of 60 Professionals thanks to a blistering back-nine of 6-under par.
Five birdies, an eagle and a bogey featured on Green’s scorecard, alongside a further two birdies and a single bogey on the front-nine.
“It was great to get on a roll on the back-nine today,” said Green.
“When you come back to a club that you know so well it’s nice to play well.”
Young-gun Blake Windred took out second place with a solid score of 4-under 67.
Jamie Hook, Brad Doherty, Dimi Papadatos and Dale Williamson tied for third place at 3-under the card.
The NSW swing of the PGA Pro-Am Series now moves to Belmont Golf Club for the Lake Macquarie Pro-Am.
