Gibson back on track

Rhein Gibson has played his way back into the top-25 on the Web.com Tour money list with an impressive top-five finish at the Air Capital Classic.

"RheinGibson, who finished runner-up at the
Louisiana Open in March, has been mired in a mini slump since that performance
missing five straight cuts before making it to the weekend at last week’s Rust
Oleum Championship.

But he turned things around in dramatic
fashion this week with rounds of 69-68-67 and a blistering final round 65 to
jump to T3 and move back into the all important top-25 on the money list.

Gibson is playing his first year on the
Web.com Tour after plying his trade in Asia last year and posting some
impressive performances over the Australian summer.

He was the best placed of the Australians
this week ahead of Rod Pampling who also finished in the top-10 to cement his
place in the top-25 on the money list.

With a win under his belt already this
season Pampling is all but guaranteed a card for the 2016 PGA TOUR and
continues to rebuild the form that took him to two wins on that circuit last
decade.

While Gibson and Pampling enjoyed good
weeks it was tougher going for the rest of the Australians with only Bronson
La’Cassie, Adam Crawford and Steve Allan (all T34) and Nick Flanagan (65th)
making the weekend.

Qualifier James Marchesani missed the cut
as did Aron Price, Oliver Goss, Alistair Presnell, James Nitties, Bryden  Macpherson, Brett Drewitt, Ash Hall and
Mathew Goggin.
