It has been a month of near misses for Daniel Gaunt who is
about due to put all facets of his game together and will be keen to do so at
this week’s Scottish Hydro Challenge on the Challenge Tour.

Having missed the opportunity to play the main Tour this
week, Gaunt will be motivated to play well in Scotland, a tournament where he
played decent golf in his last appearance two years ago.

Gaunt is one of five Australians in the field this week with
New Zealand’s Ryan Fox also teeing up.

Scott Arnold, Dimi Papadatos, Terry Pilkadaris, and David
Bransdon are also in the field with Todd Sinnott, Geoff Drakeford and Antonio
Murdaca on the alternates list.

Terry Pilkadaris finished joint runner-up here two years ago
and after playing some solid golf the last month will take some confidence to
the first tee Thursday.

Ryan Fox will also be keen for the gun to go off after his
good play here last year earned him a second top-10 in as many starts and
launched a successful year for him.
